A Mirror Dimly

Where eternity shines through the cracks of ordinary life.

These reflections are not chapters from The Return of Heaven—they are windows beside it.

Here we explore the places where eternity presses gently into everyday life: suffering and joy, longing and purpose, formation and hope. Some are observations. Some are questions. Some are lessons learned slowly through years of walking with God.

The title comes from Paul’s words that, in this age, “we see in a mirror dimly” (1 Corinthians 13:12). Our vision is partial. We do not yet see the fullness of God’s kingdom, His purposes, or the world to come.  Yet every so often, through Scripture, beauty, grief, grace, or the ordinary moments of life, we catch a glimpse beyond the veil.

These reflections are invitations to pause, to wonder, and to look again toward the light that calls us home.

If these reflections encourage you, I’d be honored to send new ones directly to your inbox each Monday morning.

An Unfinished Story

Not all suffering comes from His hand. But none of it escapes His hands.

The Noise of Our Times

How should Christians live in an age of headlines, fear, and endless speculation?

The Long Run

Press on in the hard times. That's when "things" happen.

More Than Living Forever

The New Testament actually uses several different words for life—and one of them changes how we understand eternal life.
